Process
In Phase 1, ‘potential assessment,’ your funding potential is first determined. To do this, you must fill out a short questionnaire. In addition, we need a project description from you and—if available—the business plan.
In Phase 2, ‘funding check,’ we research which grants are relevant for you and how you can obtain the maximum funding amount by combining different funding options and financing models. We provide you with an overview of regional, national, and international funding programs that may apply to you.
In Phase 3, ‘funding application,’ we prepare the funding application together with you. You can benefit from our strong network, as we obtain additional information through personal conversations with the funding agencies. Each application is formulated by us in a way that ensures it meets the evaluation criteria of the respective funding body.
In Phase 4, ‘reporting, project support, internationalization coaching,’ we continue to support you—upon request—even after the funding approval. We ensure that the project accounting is submitted correctly so that the approved funding can be paid out to you. Alternatively, we can support the funded project as consultants.
During internationalization coaching, we work with you to develop an internationalization strategy and a marketing concept, and we assist you with questions regarding transport, financing, and payment formalities.

FAQ
The funding must always be submitted before the start of the project — that is, already in the planning phase. Projects that have already begun, or invoices that have already been issued or paid, are no longer eligible for funding. In certain cases or funding schemes, retroactive submission is possible, but only as an exception.
It is advantageous to include a financing commitment with the funding application – either from your house bank, an investor, or documented through your own equity.
For example: an additional working capital line, an investment loan, or the new EIF financing instrument: Risk Sharing Facility. We are happy to inform you about this instrument as well, which supports the remaining financing of research, expansion, and innovation projects.
Yes, of course! Most funding programs allow you to submit a project idea as a concept, even if the company is still in the founding phase. However, it is necessary to provide proof of the company’s establishment within 6 months after receiving the funding approval. It is important to carefully review the specific guidelines, as some funding programs only accept applications from already existing companies — for example, those that have been established for at least one year.
Yes, that is correct. Size, legal form, number of employees, or industry do not limit funding potential. Even micro‑enterprises, associations, sports federations, or non‑profit organizations have good chances of receiving funding.
Yes! However, this depends on the specific funding call. Multiple submissions for the same project at regional, national, European, or international levels are often strictly prohibited, but sometimes they are explicitly encouraged. Well‑designed funding strategies optimize the financial outcome for your company.
The processing time for funding applications is generally at least 8–12 weeks. Even if advance payments are announced in the funding approval, the first funds usually arrive after around 4 to 5 months. For this reason, careful and long‑term consideration in your cash‑flow planning is advisable. Please note that there is no legal entitlement to funding, and grants are typically awarded based on available budgets or competitive procedures. Most funding programs are oversubscribed, meaning that high quality, completeness, and consistency of applications are essential for success.
Yes! As a result, new funding opportunities constantly emerge that may not have been applicable yesterday. Continuous research and maintaining close contact with funding agencies form the foundation for broad consulting expertise, as does regularly checking the currently valid guidelines.
No, there is no legal entitlement to funding!
That is why it is important that applications are prepared professionally and that all formal criteria are met.
As a general rule, funding applications must always be submitted before the project begins! For certain funding programs—especially investment projects—you must wait for an official letter from the funding agency confirming the project’s eligibility. Only after receiving this confirmation may you proceed with ordering, delivering, or even paying for the investments. This is the only way to secure your entitlement to grants.
There are several types of support, which can ideally also be combined with one another: non‑repayable grants, interest subsidies, guarantees, liabilities, grace periods, low‑interest loans, equity, subsidized consulting and cooperations, as well as other project‑specific services.
At the beginning of every business activity stands the idea. But the path from an idea to a successful business model is often challenging. We therefore complement our clients’ ideas with our experience in project development (both in R&D as well as in the NPO and service sectors). We help structure the planned project and prepare the next steps.
Project development is the preliminary phase of project design and business plan creation. In this phase, the process—from idea to product/service—is worked out. Even at this early stage, we already take potential funding opportunities and financing strategies into account and ensure that the funding potential is utilized as effectively as possible. In doing so, we cooperate with partners from our network, such as tax advisors, banks, and funding agencies.
We carry out project development in the form of in-depth workshops or individual consultations.
Upon request, we also coordinate and support funding and financing projects. For this, we draw on the industry experience of experts.
GOAL: Creation of documents or project concepts that can be used for future stakeholders (e.g., project summaries).
